THE STARTER REPORTED:
a) IT’S COMPLICATED (G Behr) was fractious in the stalls. Trainer D Kannemeyer will be advised to have this filly reschooled before its next engagement in terms of Rule 61.6.10.
b) IN TANDEM (X Carstens) jumped awkwardly outwards and made contact with TAMASHI (AUS) (R Fourie), which was slow losing one length and thereafter was slow into stride.
c) DANCE AT DAWN (D Dillon) and ETERNAL NIGHT (*A Balloo) were slow into stride.
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: (CvA)
a) DARK GODDESS (C Orffer) and BALTIA (G Cheyne) brushed at the 250m.
b) At about the 200m MYSTICAL GAL (AUS) (G van Niekerk) and FIELD OF LIGHT (S Veale), which raced green, were inconvenienced and forced to switch out off the heels of PINK ROCK (S Khumalo), which raced green and rolled in slightly.
c) PINK ROCK (S Khumalo) eased off the heels of ETERNAL NIGHT (*A Balloo) in the concluding stages.
