THE STARTER REPORTED:
a) CURATRIX (G van Niekerk), which was fractious, had to be taken out and then reloaded, causing a delay, jumped inwards losing one length and thereafter was slow into stride. Trainer G V Woodruff will be advised that this filly’s starting stall certificate has been withdrawn in terms of Rule 61.6.10.
b) CREAM OF CHROME (*B May) jumped awkwardly losing two lengths and thereafter was slow intro stride.
c) PEACH VALLEY (G Behr) and PLAY SCHOOL (S Cele) were slow losing one length and thereafter were slow into stride.
d) ESSENCEOFLIFE (A Andrews) was stubborn loading, kicked. Trainer G S Kotzen will be advised that this filly’s starting stall certificate has been withdrawn in terms of Rule 61.6.10.

a) In view of the performances from SUNSTRIP (L Africa) (12.15 lengths, betting 6/1) and BACINI (G Cheyne) (12.65 lengths, betting 5/1), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine the fillies on their return to the parade ring and submit a report.
b) BACINI (G Cheyne) raced green.
c) GOLD FORCE (H v d Hoven) was held up for a clear run between the 400m and 250m.
d) PETE’S GIRL (R Fourie), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer S J Snaith was advised. (SN)
