Jockey Appeals:
South African jockey, Paul Whitmore, has decided to appeal
against the two-months' suspension imposed on him by the Race Meeting
Stewards for his ride on Icelandic in the Dr France Rivalland Cup
last weekend and will be available to fulfill his riding engagements
at the forthcoming meeting...
Two Jockeys Receive Hefty Fines:
Benedict Woodworth has been fined Rs40,000 and given a
one-week suspension for having caused interference at about the 1200m
mark when riding Tabascorez in the main race last weekend, the
Black Eagle Classic Cup. South African jockey Mark Neisius
was also fined Rs10,000 for interference caused in the 7th race, the
Paul Langlois Cup, when riding Paranui.
