Sean Cormack did everything right aboard WOOD BLUFF
in a Graduation plate at Kenilworth over 1400 m on Saturday. He jumped
smartly, was well placed and went for home at the right time while
HOPE AND FORTUNE, ridden by Karl Neisius, sat behind and
then found a bit of trouble on the rail.
Karl calmly moved around a tiring front runner and let his mount
run at WOOD BLUFF. HOPE AND FORTUNE moved up easily then
fought on and outstayed WOOD BLUFF in the final fifty, to win
going away.
They are both smart sorts and good things should lie ahead. HOPE
AND FORTUNE seems to want further and justified his 7/10 price
after having shown superior earlier form with his runs in the
SELANGOR CUP (Gr 2) and the CAPE GUINEAS (Gr 1). |
