Racing today (9 April 2024) has been moved from the Vaal Main Track to the Vaal Classic Track.
This moves takes place after the gallops this morning and it was unanimously agreed that the Classic Track is raceable while the Vaal Main Track was inconsistent.
Unfortunately, it’s currently overcast and there is a possibility of further rainfall which could jeopardize the move, but we are giving the meeting the best possible chance to go ahead. According to our weather app it should start to clear up from 11am.
Tony Rivalland's GORGEOUS GIRL wins the Maiden Plate, race 3, at Scottsville by a full 3 lengths.
Riding GORGEOUS GIRL was Richard Fourie who won a total of 3 races today making him the jockey of the day.
Kobeli Lihaba, Chase Maujean, Rachel Venniker, Sean Veale and Serino Moodley each added a win to their names today.
